Mind and Moon

Sudhana is the young pilgrim of the Avataṃsaka Sūtra, seeking awakening through encounters with spiritual friends. His journey traces the gradual fulfillment of bodhicitta—the mind of awakening. Here, that process is imagined as a moon’s journey, moving through successive encounters and waxing toward fullness.
